Godspeed You! Black Emperor (1976)

God Speed You! Black Emperor (ゴッド・スピード・ユー! BLACK EMPEROR) is a 1976 Japanese black-and-white 16 mm documentary film, 90 minutes long, by director Mitsuo Yanagimachi, which follows the exploits of a Japanese biker gang, the Black Emperors. 1970s Japan saw the rise of biker gangs, known as Bōsōzoku, which drew the interest of the media. The movie follows a member of the bike gang and his interaction with his parents, after he gets in trouble with the police.

The orchestral post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor's name is derived from the film's title.

Sky High (2003)

A serial-murderer is removing his victims hearts and taking them with him. Kanzaki is a detective on the case. The day he is due to be married his fiancé, Mina, is killed displaying the same MO as the other victims. He discovers geneticist, Kudo, and Rei, his evil "secretary" to be the killers. When they have six hearts they will be able to summon demons from beyond the 'Gate of Rage' to grant any wish, but darkness will fall upon the earth. Mina becomes Guardian of the Gate of Rage, and must fight Kudo when he is killed. Kanzaki enters the world of the dead to protect her.

In the final film of the series Oichi, Wanted Dead or Alive a bounty is placed on our blind heroine's head & that provides the excuse for action scenes. The sword vs. sickle & chain is particularly good in this episode. A samurai (played by Tetsuro Tamba, the only big star to appear in the whole series) has been hired to harrass a fishing village, so there's a worthy opponent amidst the many who will fall as Oichi stands up for the village.
