The Oblongs is an American animated television program aimed at teenagers and adults. It was created by Angus Oblong and produced by Jobsite Productions and Mohawk Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television and is very loosely based on a series of characters that Oblong introduced in a picture-book entitled Creepy Susie and 13 Other Tragic Tales for Troubled Children. Hank Hill is a man who is very proud of himself. He is also proud of his Texan heritage, though he begins to question it when he finds out in "Yankee Hankie," that he is indeed a Yankee. He normally likes his job at Strickland Propane, though he feels that his boss may not be the very best one around. Throughout the show, he handles problems such as sex, lies, friendship, and even murder. When he is not selling propane, he likes to mow his lawn, have a beer, watch football games, and just relax. All of this changes when he meets the Souphanousinphones, his conceited Laotian neighbor who refers to him and his family as "hillbillies." His son Bobby is in love with their daughter Connie; Hank does his best to encourage Bobby with his actions, though at many times he feels he should take the action himself. | Scooby Doo, Where Are You! (1969)
The first incarnation of what has become a franchise-of-sorts. Scooby-Doo was a large, loveable but cowardly Great Dane who hung around four California high school students (Fred, Velma, Daphne and Shaggy). The four teen-agers were in constant search of mysteries and adventures, driving around in a bright green van known as the Mystery Machine. Many of the group's adventures involved villians who took on supernatural disguises (ghosts and monsters); the villians' activities usually involved blackmail, theft, fraud and other forms of corruption. At the first hint of trouble, Scooby-Doo (and usually, Shaggy as well) running for cover; they usually found themselves in even deeper trouble. It usually took the promise of a Scooby snack to get Scooby (and Shaggy) to come out of hiding. The mysteries were always solved by the end of each show (the villian proclaiming, "And I would have gotten away with it if it hadn't have been for you kids!" or some similar line). ![]() [exit] |

Code Monkeys is a new show from G4 and Adam de la Peña about a video game company called GAMEAVISION during the 80's. The show follows two old-school game coders Dave and Jerry on their bizarre and surreal adventures, along with a colorful cast of characters.
